things to ponder: - stay in school, at least get high school diploma - marriage should be based on LOVE and PEACE Manohara Odelia Pinot http://www.metro.co.uk/news/world/article.html?Model_flees_prince_who_slashed_and_raped_her&in_article_id=676520&in_page_id=64 Model flees prince who 'slashed and raped' her A teenage model has accused her Malaysian prince husband of treating her like a sex slave after a daring escape from his clutches. Manohara Odelia Pinot said the royal had raped and tortured her, slashed her with razor blades and forced her to take drugs while she was locked in his palace. The 17-year-old US-Indonesian socialite also claimed the Malaysian and Indonesian governments ignored her pleas for help and 'told lies' about her welfare. She was able to escape only when the prince's family visited Singapore and she ran away from her guards while in a hotel. 'Sexual abuse and sexual harassment were like a daily routine for me – I could never think a normal man could do such things,' she said. 'I am still traumatised.' Manohara, from Jakarta, married Tengku Temenggong Mohammad Fakhry, the prince of Kelantan state, in a fairy-tale wedding last year. But afterwards, she claimed she was locked up in his palace, often raped and forced to take sedatives which made her sick. She was threatened with torture if she did not smile at functions, she added. The model, who is divorcing her husband, also said the Malaysian government stopped her mother visiting her, while the Indonesian authorities said she was 'fine'. She escaped at the weekend after pushing an emergency stop button in a hotel lift, where she knew CCTV cameras would deter her guards from giving chase. The Malaysian government said it would not investigate. The Kelantan royal family has not commented.
